    Avera Sacred Heart Hospital School of Radiologic Technology was established in 1948, is sponsored by the Benedictine and Presentation Sisters, and is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. During the full-time, 24 month program, students are able to gain hands-on experience by working with patients under direct and indirect staff supervision. Our mission and purpose is to provide for the professional and personal development of each student in the field of radiography. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion and is eligible to take the national board examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
